SHoP Architects are generous sponsors of DRAW NYC, our program that lets New Yorkers gather around drawing in public space. At the invitation of Kimberly Holden, a SHoP founder and principal, we dropped by the office this week, bringing the portable drawing studio along with us. SHoP staff had a chance to check out the program, sign up to volunteer, take some time to draw, and have a beer…
Thank you to SHoP for supporting the Uni Project—we look forwarded to seeing SHoP staff with us on the street in the months ahead!

(Thanks Kate Colabella and SHoP for sharing these photos.)

We gave a brief presentation about DRAW NYC, and them set everyone loose.

There was equal interest in drawing activities and the folding DRAW cart itself.

Staff brought kids to see DRAW too.

The view from the SHoP office is one-of-a-kind, drawn here by a talented SHoP staff person. Thanks for inviting us over!
