Wrapping up a summer of play streets

Aug 26, 2024

We’re wrapping up our work at summer play streets across NYC this month, including two in Washington Heights and five in the Bronx. At Jennings St in the Bronx, we’ll soon celebrate ten years of supporting one neighborhood play street as it has grown into a neighborhood tradition. More than just places for children to play outside, play streets are bringing together people of all ages and strengthening communities across the city. We’ve got plans to help expand and nurture these new public spaces in the years ahead.
