The Uni returned to one of our favorite parks at the invitation of the Washington Square Park Conservancy, creating a small reading room in the northwest corner of the park on four separate days in September. Our collection was augmented with a loan of books from Georgia Silvera Seamans of Washington Square Park (WSP) Eco Projects, an environmental organization that celebrates the natural features of Washington Square Park. Georgia also brought a game designed specifically for the park, naturalist bingo. Thanks Georgia!
Thanks to Sarah Neilson, Washington Square Park Administrator, and Sheryl Woodruff, Community Development Director of the Conservancy. And we’re also grateful to NYC Parks staff and our Uni site managers Leah Kaplan and Joeyee Yan.
